Starting from the June 2014, the FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test has changed from a paper and pencil test to a computer-based test (CBT). FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) is still not an Internet-based test. Instead of reading the questions from a MCI Screening Test paper booklet and giving answer in the sheet, you would read the questions on a computer screen. Further you can choose an answer by by clicking on the appropriate option there. The FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test is completed in 1 day itself! Before the exam, the students can get the look and feel of this new pattern from the website of National Board of Examinations popularly called as NBE.

FMGE Exam Or MCI Screening Test

The students register for FMGE exam or MCI Screening Test and choose the centre in India as per their convenience. A computer is allocated to the student at the test centre at the time of registration. The student must take the FMGE exam from the allocated work station only.

When Is FMGE Exam Taken?

The FMGE exam is taken twice every year in the month of June and December. The dates are always published in our announcement section as soon as it is published by NBE on their website.

Attempts Allowed For FMGE Exam

The students can give unlimited attempts in case they fail to pass FMGE exam. There is no restriction on number of attempts for the Indian students to appear for the MCI screening test.

Wherever you are studying overseas MBBS program or completed your studies abroad such as MBBS in China / MBBS in Russia / MBBS in Ukraine / MBBS in Philippines / MBBS in Kyrgyzstan / MBBS in Belarus etc. at a MCI approved university, you need to give FMGE exam / MCI Screening Test.
