About Campus life
NMBU has seven parts, with most of them at Campus Ås and one partly at Campus Adamstuen. Campus Ås is where they study life sciences and has a beautiful park with old buildings. They also do research and teaching on traditional farm animals there. Campus Adamstuen is where they teach about animal medicine and how it connects to public health, and it's the only place in Norway for that. NMBU has a soccer and sports field and a big indoor sports place. The university is also near a skiing track and a national rowing centre.
NMBU offers two housing options. If you're at NMBU-Campus Ås, you'll be guided on how to get a room on campus through SiÅs, a student-run organization. They also have cafeterias and a bookstore. But if you prefer off-campus living, you can explore private housing options right from the start. You're not limited to Ås; you can check out places like Ski, Vestby, or even Oslo, which are all within a short train or car ride from Ås. The train station in Ås is about a 15-minute walk from campus.
