Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (SIMSAR) is a private medical college in Karnataka focused on producing skilled and ethical doctors through modern academics and strong clinical exposure. Established in 2016, the institute is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by the National Medical Commission.

Situated at D.K. Plantation, BEML Nagar, Kolar Gold Fields, about 70 km from Bengaluru, SIMSAR offers a peaceful 30-acre campus designed for focused learning.

The institute was founded in 2013 by the Sambhram Charitable Trust and offers 150 MBBS seats per year. It has a dedicated training multi-speciality hospital (650 beds), experienced faculty members, modern infrastructure and residential accommodation for students. Admission Process 2026, SIMSAR Kolar

  1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 conducted by National Testing Agency.
  2. Register through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) portal for counseling.
  3. Upload all required documents and pay the counselling fees.
  4. Take part in choice filling by selecting SIMSAR as preference, and seat allotment rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, Stray Vacancy).
  5. After the seat is allotted, download the allotment letter, pay the fees online and report to SIMSAR for verification, medical check-up and confirmation of admission.

Seats are allotted as per NEET-UG 2026 rank, category and preferences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for MBBS.
  • Candidates should be minimum 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026
  • Candidates must qualify NEET-UG 2026 with relevant scores.
  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, securing a minimum aggregate 50% in PCB for general category and 40% for reserved categories, from a reputable educational institute.
  • Candidates can be Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs subject to their meeting the academic criteria.
