Government Medical College (GMC) Eluru, is a Government medical institution. It was established in 2023, and is located behind the Old Bus Stand in Eluru in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The institution was formed to strengthen medical education and healthcare services in the region.

The college is affiliated with Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences (Dr.YSRUHS), Vijayawada and is approved by the National Medical Commission. The college has an annual intake of 150 MBBS students.

Admission Process 2026, GMC Eluru

Admission to MBBS at GMC Eluru is entirely based on NEET-UG 2026 scores. The process includes:

1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 conducted by NTA
2. Register for Andhra Pradesh NEET-UG counselling through the website of Dr. YSRUHS for 85% state quota and MCC under DGHS for 15% All India Quota
3. In choice filing, fill in and lock your choices by selecting GMC Eluru as preference
4. Seats are allotted based on rank, category, quota, choices and availability.
5. On seat allocation, download allotment letter and pay the university fee
6. Once the seat is allocated, report in-person to the college with all the required documents for verification, medical fitness check, payment of tuition fees and complete the admission formalities.

For any vacant seats, additional rounds -mop-up or stray vacancy rounds are conducted.

The admissions for the Management and NRI quota may have a separate process.

• Must qualify NEET UG (50th percentile for General, 40th for reserved categories)
• Passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

• Must be medically fit
• Andhra Pradesh domicile holders are preferred for the state quota seats
