Established in year 1992, St. Tereza Medical University is one of the pioneering institutions in Armenian in the field of medicine. The St. Tereza Medical University (Abbreviated STMU) is keen on enhancing its facilities and quality of education in order to keep up with the ever-evolving technologies and advancements in healthcare sector. The University heartily welcomes international students from all over the world and the students from other countries also eagerly look forward to studying at this University since English is widely spoken throughout Armenia, thus leaving no room for language barrier. Another means by which the University promotes internationalism is by inviting eminent guest faculty from different countries in the world and let students interact with them and gain deep insight in the sphere of medical sciences.
Yerevan is the capital as well as the largest city of Armenia. Situated by the Hrazdan river, one of the notable features of Yerevan is it has the presence of Soviet-era architecture. One of the grand avenues of the city is the Matenadaran library which is home to thousands of ancient Greek and Armenian manuscripts. The University is laden with all the latest facilities for the convenience of the students. These modern facilities can be attributed as the factor responsible for hundreds and thousands of international students coming to this University. There are facilities like library, hostel, mess, laboratories, well-equipped classrooms, etc. for the convenience and comfort of the students. STMU also furnishes the students with a sport complex so the students actively participate in sport activities which will keep them fit and allow them to practice their favorite sport activities.
Being inhabited by students from different countries, STMU tends to celebrate all the prominent festivals of various cultures, nations, etc. so to convey the students the concept of unity and make sure all the students get a homely vibe even though while staying away at home.
Speaking of hostel facilities, the accommodation at STMU can is quite comfortable for the international students. The rooms can be availed by the international students on a sharing basis. The minimum room occupancy is of 3 students while there are also rooms that can accommodate as many as 5 students. The students can choose room accordingly. The rooms are to be occupied by the students of the same gender. They come furnished with all the essentials like beds, mattresses, pillows, cabinets, wardrobes, etc. as per room occupancy.
Other facilities included are television, air conditioner, Wi-Fi facilities, etc. For food facilities, there are dual options at the students’ disposal. There is a kitchen located on every floor of the university for those students who wish to cook their own food. The alternative to this is the university mess which caters to the students with various cuisines such as Indian, Chinese, Thai, etc.
