Hostel and facilities
The humongous campus of Qingdao University dedicates a living space for its students in guise of hostels. In these hostels of Qingdao University, students can choose to live individually or share it with a partner. Moreover, there are separate hostel facilities for boys as well as girls. The basic amenities provided in the room include bed, wardrobe, heater, air conditioner, washrooms, study table, etc. You even have the liberty to store articles in your room like refrigerator, microwave, etc. Whether or not you want a balcony equipped room is a choice at your disposal. Of course you have to pay extra if you want to have a balcony in your room.
Unfortunately, there is no facility of an Indian mess yet there are some Indian foods available. For non-vegetarians, there are ample options available in the mess while for vegetarians, there are quite a few items on the menu they can choose. But would it be much of a problem if we tell you that there’s a kitchen on each floor of the hostel building? Yes, from ovens to induction stoves, there’s everything for you in the kitchen so you can cook your own food. All it takes is that you learn some culinary skills. On a side note, you can find many Indian restaurants outside the University but the cost is slightly on the upper side so you cannot have daily meals there. There’s even a small shopping store located inside the University which enables you to fetch your daily essentials and groceries easily. In case if any of your family members is coming to visit you, they may stay at the hotel of Qingdao University located within the campus premises.
