Nantong University is located in the east Chinese coastal city of Nantong. A relatively old University, Nantong was established almost a century ago. The University boasts of numerous disciplines including graduate, professional & undergraduate programs. The University is teeming with more than 30,000 students and 2,600 staff. Nantong Medical University was established in 1912 and is one of the oldest Medical Institutions in China. Among the International students, there are 145 Indian students at NTU along with numerous students from Germany, Korea, USA, Switzerland, Australia, and Japan.

About Campus life
The city of Nantong, being coastal, has a humid climate with heavy monsoon. The campus is spacious with all the amenities one needs. Being a popular education hub for international students, life at NTU for them is easy and well thought-out. Accommodation for International students includes hostel dormitories and it is cost-effective. The library has a great collection of local and foreign books and journals. Extra- and Co-curricular activities are conducted regularly. NTU has a reputation in badminton, table tennis and football.

Nantong University has in-campus accommodation facilities in guise of dormitories. The students can live comfortable within the premises of the University and that too at an affordable cost. The rooms of the dormitory are equipped with daily essentials like beds, pillows, mattresses, study tables, cabinets, etc. The optimum level of safety surrounding the dormitory infrastructure makes it a secure abode for you. There are other facilities like kitchen and laundry right inside the dorm. The kitchen is outfitted with equipments like induction stove, microwave, etc. so you can cook easily. On the other hand, you must pay to use the laundry services though the charges are minimal. The mode of payment is generally via We Chat app which is widely popular throughout China. For other payments like paying your room’s electricity bill or buying meals from the mess, you might not use We Chat to do the transactions but the University Card that is allotted to you. You can recharge the University Card as per your requirement and easily make payments at many places in your campus.
