KMU campus spreads over more than 100 hectares with more than 15000 students. Numerous cultural and interactive events are conducted at the campus at frequent intervals. These include the much awaited Mid-Autumn Festival, Opening Ceremony for new students, and Graduation Ceremony to name a few. Many sports events are also conducted from time to time. The 37th Track & Field games were conducted recently. Designated as Central Sharing Library Network of Yunnan, the KMU Library has more than 100k books.

The hostel building for international students has around 13-14 floors on which there are furnished rooms accompanied by kitchen and laundry facilities. The room bears the resemblance of a fine hotel room since it is equipped with beds, mattresses, pillows, cabinets, attached washrooms, windows, etc. There are also study tables so you can study comfortably. These rooms are available on sharing basis. To enter into the hostel, you must walk past the security doors which unlock through facial recognition of the students living in the hostel. There is a warden present right at the reception of the hostel which implies that safety is kept at its best at the hostel. Besides impressive accommodation facilities, there is a kitchen and laundry available on alternate hostel floors. For example if floor no. 4 has a kitchen, floor no. 5 has a laundry and then floor no. 6 has a kitchen and so on. The kitchen is available to the students up till 10:30 PM in the night. Also, just besides the kitchen are various lockers made available to students so they can store their utensils there. There’s also mess facility at the University where vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available. Thus, the University takes care of most of your essential needs and makes your stay at the University fulfilling.
