Kumudini Women’s Medical College was established in year 2001 under the umbrella of Kumudini Welfare Trust. The founder built this college to fulfill the dream to enroll students who are passionate about becoming doctors, who are academically excellent and dedicated enough to recognize and respond to the demand as well as opportunities of medical science and ethics. As a result, Kumudini Women’s Medical College is known to recruit students with an academically strong background from Bangladesh and the rest of the world. The college maintains a very hospitable and supportive environment around the students so they can achieve their education goals effectively. The college functions with a commitment to provide nothing short of an excellent form of medical education which yields skilful doctors who can treat their patients with care and compassion, who are adept at the art of medical science and who can dedicate themselves to the ethical and social principles of the profession.

               Mirzapur is a town based in the city of Tangail, Bangladesh. The town is situated 54 kilometers to the northwest of Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Speaking of Tangail city, it is the largest city in the Dhaka division in terms of the area and second most populated city with over 3.8 million people. The climate of the city is tropical and the average temperate goes for about 25.5 degree Celsius. The annual precipitation recorded is about 1872 mm. Agriculture is the main occupation of most of the people of Tangail. 

Eligibility

Eligibility
10th should be passed in 2018 or 2019 and 12th in 2020 or 2021. Also, PCB in 10th should be 70% or more, and PCB in 12th should be 60% or more.

Campus Life

About Campus life
The college campus incorporates a vast area on which are built the medical college building, hospital, hostel building, student’s mess and canteen and accommodation facilities for the academic and clinical staff. The students spend a major portion of their time studying medicine while their leisure time goes into playing their favorite sports or celebrating cultural events or spreading awareness about various causes.

               The facility of the sport center is provided at the college campus so that the students can keep up with their favorite sports during their stay at the University. Notably, many events are organized by the college administration and students alike to mark an important day or spread awareness about many health and other issues that prevail in the society. The college has been known to organize events on World Pneumonia Day, World Hearing Day, etc.  

Hostel & Facilities

The Kumudini Women’s medical college has adequate residential facilities for all the students so enrolled. There are as many as 5 multistoried buildings for the accommodation of the students. These 5 building can easily accommodate more than a thousand students. One of these hostel buildings is a dedicated hostel for international students. All the hostels are equipped with facilities of air conditioning, dining rooms, club rooms, reading rooms, etc. 

               Inside the room, the students get the facilities of beds, study tables, wardrobes, etc. fulfilled by the college. The construction of a hostel complex of 6 buildings is underway which will accommodate as many as 1400 students.
