About Campus life
Main campus of DMU has more than 14000 full-time students including more than 4,500 postgraduates, 8,200 undergraduates and 1,300 overseas/international students. The section of DMU for international students is called DMUIEC (International Education College). In 2014, DMUIEC was given the title ‘International Students Education Advanced Organization’. The international students at DMU hail from over 100 countries across the 5 continents. The cultural richness of the campus may easily be predicted. Indeed, a great international exposure for a budding medico! Interestingly, DMU has a record of having as low as 13% students from one country, which means, immense cultural diversity in strong proportions.

Hostel and facilities
There is on-campus accommodation provided by Dalian Medical University. The rooms of the hostel are available on both solo and sharing basis. These rooms are furnished with bed(s), study tables, heaters, wardrobes, shelves, air conditioners, etc. which add to the comfort of the students during their stay at the University. The hostel is secured by means of CCTV cameras outfitted throughout the building. The CCTV cameras monitor the corridors, kitchens, washing rooms, etc. among other areas of the hostel. There are also elevators present in the hostel building which is of great help for the handicapped students.
The corridors of this hostel are equipped with unique lights that power up only when they observe movement i.e. only when somebody is walking through the corridor, thus becoming an exemplar to save electricity. Each floor of the hostel is allotted a kitchen and washing area. The kitchen is furnished with essentials like electric induction stove, chimney, microwave oven, dining table and so on. Moreover, the kitchen can be used at any time of the day since it is open 24X7 for the students.
The students are allotted a card which can be used as a medium for various payments. This card can be used for making payment at the canteen, for usage of the laundry services, paying your room electricity bill, availing the University vans or traveling through subways. The students must recharge this card as per their requirements.
