Around 190,000 students appeared for AIPMT-2015 (in the first attempt, before scrapping it for a repeat exam) only 3,100 medical seats were allotted (15% of the total government seats – 16,000 + few others). The status of MBBS Admission to top Government Medical Colleges in India through the state level entrance tests such as MHT-CET , GUJCET , GCET , KARNATAKA CET , EAMCET , KEAM , MP DMAT , MP PMT , PMET , HPMT , UPCPMT , BCECE , WB JEE Medical Exam , O JEE Medical Exam , Assam CEE , Haryana PMT , UPMT , and others is almost similar with a success ratio of no more than 2%.
