There are 10 medical colleges in Delhi that offer MBBS course with a seat count of 1422 seats. Of these total MBBS seats in Delhi 2021, 1222 are government MBBS seats in Delhi available in 8 government medical colleges of Delhi. The rest i.e. 200 seats belong to 2 private medical colleges of Delhi. There are more opportunities to pursue PG in medicine in Delhi than to pursue MBBS in Delhi.

Reason being, there are nearly twice as many medical institutions offering MD/MS/Diploma in Delhi as there are MBBS colleges in Delhi.

Delhi NEET-UG 2021 Counseling Process:

The Directorate General of Health Services, New Delhi is responsible for conducting State counseling for allocation of 85% of MBBS Seats in Govt and Private Medical College under State Quota. However, MCC is the governing body for filling rest 15 % seats through All India Quota seats in Govt Medical College and 100% Seats in Deemed University. Those who qualified NEET are eligible to apply in both the counseling processes. Please refer the table below to find Cut off marks for each category.

Important Dates:

In order to appear for MBBS counseling Delhi, there is no separate procedure. It happens via NEET counseling only and no other communication will be done for the same.
Once the counseling rounds are done, the authorities will release the merit list and selected candidates will be asked to report to the venue along with all the necessary documents.

ELIGIBILITY

1. The candidates, who are up for MBBS admission in Delhi, must have qualified NEET.
2. The students, who wish for MBBS in Delhi, must be having the domicile of Delhi.
3. Your age must be no less than 17 years.
4. MBBS Delhi cut-off 2021: 10+2 with a score of at least 50% in PCB (for general category), 45% (for general PH) and 40% for ST/SC/OBC.
5. Your core subjects for 10+2 have to be Biology, Chemistry, English, and Physics.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The mode of application will be online and candidates are advised to submit it before the deadline. Once you successfully fill the application form, you will be asked to pay the MBBS Delhi application fee 2021. Just be cautious while filling your necessary details so as to avoid any unforeseen circumstances later.

RESERVATION POLICY

The reservation policy for MBBS admission in Delhi 2021 goes like this:

1. For SC and ST candidates the reservation is 15% and 7.5% respectively.
2. For PWD candidates, its 3%
3. For other backward classes, the reservation is up to 27%.
4. 5% is meant for the children and widows of armed forces personnel.

Note: Before availing the benefits of reservation, you will be asked to present a proof that you belong to any of the aforementioned categories.

NEET-UG Exam dates 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA)  conducted the NEET (UG) 2021 examination on Sunday, 12th September 2021 in pen & paper mode. NEET-2021 Exam was delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19. CBSE announced the 12th Board exams for  2022 in April and May  It is expected NTA may conduct NEET-UG 2022 Exams in the month of July’22. If it happens then the NEET result will be declared in the month of Aug. In such a scenario, NEET UG Counseling 2022 will take place in the month of  Sept. The examination will serve as a uniform entrance examination for MBBS admission and other streams like BDS/ BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses.

Medical PG in Germany
